Right wing
I started working on the right side panel in the same way as the left side, with a hole on this side. I used a piece of 6mm plexi instead of the domes. I did this because I only had three domes, but having said that, the plexi turned out just as nice.
I created the effect in the same way here by first gluing all sorts of parts to the side. All of the parts were scavenged from my kids old toys, with the exception of the hose fittings.
The next step was to apply a couple of kilograms of putty. After that was done it was back to sanding and then to sculpt the details in using the trusty Dremel.
When I had finished that, I applied a layer of primer and then a thick layer of black paint once the primer had dried. I used the exact same method of painting this side as the other, so I'll jump ahead a bit and show the right side in its final glory.
